For the most part, this space is in support of my book, "Men Can: The Changing Image & Reality of Fatherhood in America," out in May 2010 from Temple University Press. I currently teach in the Program in Writing & Humanistic Studies at MIT; write about the representation of men, masculinity, and fatherhood in popular culture; do business journalism for Knowledge@Wharton and its affiliated sites; have a (dormant) blog on environmental issues.

Nonfiction work has appeared in The Boston Globe, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and The Village Voice; commentary has aired on NPR affiliates in Amherst and Albany; short fiction has been published in the US, Canada and Europe.

Scholarly interests include questions of mutual assessment in the writing classroom.
